At the Chevella Banyans, 3 October 2021

About 60 nature lovers, including a cycling group, gathered under a beautiful banyan on the Chevella road and peacefully protested the cutting down of these trees to make a four-lane road that has now been sanctioned.
Children painted, some read poetry, and some others just stood holding posters. They picnicked and admired the trees.
The Nature Lovers of Hyderabad believe that while a safe and efficient highway is in the best interest of everyone, it is possible to build the highway around the Banyans, without dislocating or uprooting them.
