OUTREACH: Asiya Khan speaks about the banyans at Daksha School

Nature Lovers of Hyderabad were invited by Ms Anita Rao of Daksha school, Yousufguda, to create awareness among their students on the need to preserve our natural heritage.

Asiya Khan, a member of the group, spoke of the majestic banyans and other ancient trees that are under threat of being axed for road widening on the Chevella road. The interactive session was very lively with the students airing their concerns on how this would result in climate change and the loss of habitat of various animal and bird species that call these trees their home.
